Taos Mountain Candles is owned and operated by Cindy Maestas, a local gal who was determined to find a way to make a living through crafts. Starting the candle business in her laundry room 30 years ago, while pregnant with her first child, Cindy's hard work grew into Taos Mountain Candles, now located on the way to the Taos gorge bridge in a 3000 square foot design center and candlemaking facility. When you are in the area come in and watch them make theirr exclusive desert scented, slow burning candles! There is also have a gift shop on site.

Other favorites include Pinon, which is derived from the indigenous pinon trees, as well as sage, cedar and cactus flower! Turquoise trail, desert breeze, mountain rain, and SantaFe spice are a few of the other scents available. Candle colors are taken from the stunning landscape and sunsets of the Southwest.
